Great Landings

This weekend was Memorial Day and Erin and I were lucky enough to be able to spend it at the lake with Tom, Kathy, Adam, Sarah, and the kids. Weather was nice even if the water was a bit cool for swimming. Tom worked on the new addition for the floating house and I worked on a hangover. It was also the first time since he was a puppy JD got to go to the lake. And despite falling in once he seemed to enjoy it. Grand total there was just under 1100 pictures from the weekend, I got them down to about 170. Hit the link to check them out. Thanks everyone for a great weekend! See ya~

One of the final steps in my little project here is to pick a theme. There are literally thousands of WordPress themes around. Various colors, styles, number of columns, how they handle things, tons of options. And since I can’t make a decision to save my live, I am kind of stuck. Erin likes the one called Velocity, I sort of like a few others. One of my favorites is the same one I used on my other site, and on Kathy’s condo site. I was hoping to pick something a little different, but I may just end up with the one that I am most familiar with. Anyway, just a little something to keep the 3 people left watching this entertained.

The biggest issue I have been having has been how to get the HUGE amount of pictures we had on “old” GreatLandings onto the “new” GreatLandings. The second biggest issue has been finding a template that I like. Some of you may have noticed that the look has changed a few times over the last few days, and it will probably continue to do so until I figure out what I want to do.

But things are progressing and I noticed a few people have signed up for the blog. Once things get settled down some I will go over some of the new features of the site. In the mean time feel free to sign up and post a comment.
