Great Landings

This weekend Carol and I hosted Steph’s first wedding shower.  Even with the hot sticky weather and brief storm we managed to make it the best time ever.  Steph received a lot of nice presents and after Carol apparently “found” her karaoke machine we had some guest appearances from Rapper JA and also the amazing vocal stylings from Jill Jansen.  Carol seemed to enjoy holding the microphone even more than my Dad does.  All and all it was “the best time ever” and a party for Steph to remember always. Hayley came in second in this weekend 2 and out tournament at Brookville Ohio. Her team made it to the championship. Then lost and had to go to the losing bracket. They then won the losing bracket but lost in the final game. Her team earned an invite to the National tournament in Beavercreek Ohio. Hayley did well, 3 home runs, 4 triples, many doubles and singles. She also had a diving catch in the outfield. Will keep you all updated if we go to Nationals…

Erin and I headed down to the lake this past weekend for the 4th of July holiday. Other July 4th lake goers included Tom and Kathy (who had been there for a week already!), Adam, Sarah, and the kids, our friend Trish and her boyfriend Chris, Steph and Andy, Megan and Jenny, and Steve and Jan. The weather was good for the most part. Just a couple of storms here and there. Fireworks were great as always and the new float on the house got a nice workout when the singing machine drew in a big crowd one night. All and all it was the best time ever!
