Getting Closer…
Since Adam and Sarah have been with out power for almost a week now, Erin and I decided to invite them over to enjoy some of our electricity for a while. It was also an excellent opportunity for me to fill out my band in RockBand 2. And with Brian and Amy along with Heather and Holly (+ assorted kids) we had no shortage of guitarist, drummers, and singers. There was some running and jumping and even a bit of dog wrestlemania. Combined all that with some awesome grilling by someone (me) and the cold beers, and you got yourself a real good time. So much so that I even heard Sarah remark to Adam and the kids ~ “This electricity stuff is awesome! We should get some y’all!“. Indeed you should Sarah, indeed you should… Hit the jump for all the pictures. See ya~

Well like everyone Erin and I have had an interesting last couple of days. Sunday was the day what was left of Ike passed through Cincinnati and with it brought 80 MPH winds. I was at work doing my best to get in to CVG but the wind was having none of it. Shortly after we aborted our landing the tower evacuated and we were forced to go to Lexington for a few hours to let things die down. At home we were with out power for just under two days, and without phone, cable, or Internet till just this afternoon. All and all it sucked.
But not near as much as it sucked for Adam and Sarah. They had a nice big tree fall down on the house. With it came the power lines, and with that came some fire. They managed to keep things under control, and according to Erin are doing better now. But as you can see from the pictures, it has been a long week.
Hope everyone else is doing well! Post a comment and tell us how your Ike experience was! See ya~
I had the pleasure of going on the Chargers houseboat trip to Lake Cumberland this last weekend for the annual poker run. It was a great time and out side of a little cloudy/rain on the second day the weather was good. I seen some of the most unbelievable boats ever including one houseboat that had not one, but two helicopters on it and a few speed boats I’m sure cost more to fill with gas that I will make all year long. I didn’t bring the good camera so the pics are just OK but you will get the idea. All and all it was an awesome time and I look forward to next year. Thanks to the Chargers for letting me go! Check out the pics below, and by the way that picture above is an actual panoramic I made of the cove we were in the last night. Amazing… ummm.. the cove, not me. Well me a little… but mostly the cove. See ya~
I took some pictures for Becka a couple weeks back and I thought everyone would like to check them out. I am working on some kind of system to make it easy for folks to get prints of pictures they want. But for now you can download them and print them yourself by viewing the full size image, right clicking, and selecting “Save As…”. The resolution on the website is probably good enough to get a nice 5×7 or even an 8×10 if you push it. But if you want the real deal then let me know as the originals I have are about 150x higher resolution then these. They are also have a file number on the bottom so maybe you can post a comment and let us all know what ones are your favorites. See ya~
