New Addition News! Yep, you can blame it all on Erin now. I gave her a choice between a new puppy and a baby and she picked the puppy! Go figure! From now on all baby talk should be directed to either Erin or the puppy.
Now that we got that out of the way, lets start at the beginning. Erin and I attended Doug and Mary's engagement party were we had a great time! During the event a neighbor friend came over with some puppy's his dogs had just had about seven weeks ago. Erin immediately took hold of one little guy and preceded to hold him ALL NIGHT LONG!
After a little while Erin told me she wanted to take this puppy home. I said "yeah right" thinking she was kidding. A little while after that, she said "this dog is coming home with us". Again thinking she was just messing with me I said "whatever". So the end of the night comes and here is Erin still holding this little puppy. When I said it was time to go she headed for the car, with the puppy! It was just about this time I started to realize she was not kidding. Her only real comment on the whole deal was "He is free!" I would like to take this time to point out that after only 12 hours and a trip to Petsmart and the vet, he is no where near free!
So long story short, we have a new dog. Just over seven weeks old he is a mix of a few different breads. One of his parents was a black lab-husky mix and the other was a golden retriever-newfoundland mix. So I guess that makes him a LabSkyTreverLand dog.
I will admit he is very cute. Likes to be held as as of today has not had a single accident in the house. Buddy is not 100% sure what is going on, but gets along fine with the new puppy. Even letting him climb all over him and nibble at his ears and face. The cat however wants nothing to do with this new friend. We are hoping she comes around, but for now has spent the last two days hiding under the bed.
Anyway, there are of course pictures. So check them out and let us know what you think of the new baby! While you at it we still need a name too. There is a short list below to pick from, but feel free to suggest your own name as well. We need one ASAP because yelling "Cut that out... Dog" is really starting to give Buddy a complex. See ya~

Riley - Brady - Rudy - Boone - JD (Just Dog) - Benji
*Update* August 23rd, 2007
I have added some more pictures to the album of the puppy and Buddy here at home. Erin has also started calling him Benji. So if you think it sucks now is the time to say so. See ya~
*Update 2* August 24th, 2007
Erin has changed her mind and is now calling him JD. Since we can't keep changing it every two days, I think that might be his new name. Hello JD!
*Update 3* September 19th, 2007
JD is twelve weeks today so I put up some new pics. Check them out HERE or with the link on the right. See ya~
*Update 4* October 19th, 2007
16 weeks now and I think he might be part moose. Check out the pics here or with the link on the right.
