Great Landings

Last night Erin, Caden, and myself attended Karlla and Jimmy’s wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony, awesome reception full of dinner, drinking, dancing, and trying on Cory’s funny glasses. As usual I had the camera out in full force and got a lot of fun pictures. Although for some reason I have more pictures of Simmie then anyone else! Just wanted to give y’all an update and point out a new little feature/project I am trying to pull off. The project is called “Caden – 365″ and the idea is to post one photo a day, for the next 365 days, of my little boy Caden. You can read more on the new page I made for the project by clicking the link on the top, or right HERE.

I also wanted to mention that I have been adding more photos of Caden to the Photo Site. I have just been putting them into the album I already made called Caden Christopher Carlson. Seeing as I am sure I will have nothing short of a billion pictures of him (before June) I may have to come up with a different solution. But for now that is where you can find them.

Lastly I have been getting a lot of folks asking how we are doing and the answer is AWESOME! Of course there is some adjusting going on for everyone, but Erin, Caden, and I are doing great. Caden is two weeks old today and it feels like a lifetime ago that we were in the hospital with him. He is getting bigger and more handsome every day. Erin is also getting back to her normal self as well. The best news is that her worst symptom from pregnancy was the unbelievable swelling in her legs and feet is finally getting back to normal. All and all we are one big happy family!

Some of you might remember it was almost a year ago that I posted about our friends Trish and Kris getting engaged. Well as of last night they have moved on from engaged to married! Erin and I were lucky enough to be able to drive the seven or so hours it took to get to Hamilton OH and witness the big event. It was a beautiful church and ceremony, and both Trish and Kris looked great. We all had a wonderful time at the reception celebrating and hanging out with everyone. (Some of us celebrated a little too much) As usual I took the camera and for the first time ever managed to drain both batteries taking over 650 pictures! Of course when you factor out the ones where it was more the whiskey taking the picture then me, we are down to a reasonable sub-300 range. Seven weeks early the little guy just had to be here for Christmas. Jackson Andrew was born this morning via c-section, 5 lbs 2 oz. Mom and baby are reported to be doing great! Congrats to Steph and Andy, and Happy Birthday to you Jackson!

In case you haven’t heard the news Simmie and Julie got an early surprise this past Saturday. While getting ready to head over to Adam and Sarah’s house for dinner a certain little baby girl was making other plans. Coming just over a month early little baby Jada Payne decided the time was now and Simmie and Julie headed to the hospital instead. Born at 5:35PM on Saturday September 19th, and weighing just 4 lbs 15 oz baby Jada Payne was born healthy and happy. Both mom and baby are home and reported to be doing great. Congrats Simmie and Julie!

This past week I had the chance to try out something pretty neat on the ever so frequently mentioned Greatlandings photo site. I wanted to get a whole bunch of prints from the lake for a project Adam A is working on. Normally I find the picture I want, hover the mouse over it, and click the download button. This gives me the highest resolution version of that picture so that I can print it my self, or upload it to Walgreens or something like that.
