Jackson Jackson Jackson!

Last weekend Steph and Andy brought little Jackson over to visit us and as usual I took some pictures.  As you can see he is getting bigger everyday and based on what he told me when no one was listening, I am his favorite big person who doesn’t live with him. I’m just sayin’..

I have added them to the Jackson Andrew album on the Greatlandings Photo Site. And just in case you were wondering they are ordered newest to oldest and also have the date they were taken underneath.

*Edit* Since I had some time I decided to mess around a bit in Photoshop. What I ended up with is an “Old Time” version of a photo. Not that Jackson is “old” just that the picture looks like it was from a long time ago, and is sort of worn out. I also made a little animation to show some of the steps along the way to making this picture. It is hard to tell on such a small size what the final version looks like, but you can see the full size one in the album or by clicking HERE.

Frontline: Flying Cheap

Feels a little odd even talking about this seeing as I don’t even work there anymore, but I still find it pretty interesting. PBS has a series called Frontline and the recent installment is titled “Flying Cheap“. The episode talks about life at regional airlines like the one I worked at for 11 years. They also discuss the string of recent regional accidents like the one in Lexington, and the more recent one in Buffalo, NY.  The show originally aired today at 10:00 PM, but is being repeated several times over the next few days on PBS. You can also watch the entire program online HERE. Below is a short clip from the show and might be a little eye opening and scary to some.

Baby Jackson

Erin and I went over to see little baby Jackson again last night. Hard to beleive he is almost double in size what he was just six weeks ago, and that today was his original due date! He was as cute as ever and had his eyes open checking stuff out a lot more then the last time we were over. I have added some more pictures to the Jackson Andrew album on the Photo Site so be sure to check them out. To help keep them sorted I have added the date they were taken below the pictures.

Jackson Andrew!

Erin and I did two amazing things tonight. First we went to dinner at The Melting Pot in Cincinnati. It was the first time either one of us had ever eaten there, and the first time I had ever had eaten at a fondue restaurant. Amazing is the only word to describe it. Wow, to think dipping stuff in a pot at your table can be so yummy!

The second and even more amazing thing we did was visit baby Jackson Andrew. He clearly takes after his dad, because he was one tiny dancer. Erin and I stayed for a couple hours and during that time he never fussed or anything. Just a content, sleepy, little, angel of a baby. Of course I had to take a million pictures and you can check them out in the Jackson Andrew album on the Greatlandings photo site. It was very hard to do, but I managed to sort them down from 100+ to 57. Some things are just too cute to send to the recycle bin. What a beautiful baby!

Photo Site Video

I wanted to mess around with some software today and needed a subject. Since I said I was going to make a post on how to buy prints from the photo site, I thought I would use that. So here is a little video that shows how downloading and ordering prints on the photo site works. Let me know what you think. See ya~

National Geographic Wallpaper

500x_nat_geoI like National Geographic, and I like photography. So naturally I love the National Geographic Photography Contest and all its amazing entries. Well the nice folks over at National Geographic have gone a step further and put all the entries for the 2009 National Geographic Photography Contest up for download to use as wallpaper on your computer. They already have a nice selection of wallpaper HERE, but these new ones have been provided in a slightly larger format for people with bigger screens. Anyway, if your interested in making them your wallpaper there are instructions on the site, if you are happy with the stale blue wallpaper you already got then at least head over and check out some amazing pictures. See ya~
