Cincinnati Christmas 2009

IMG_4134aSince Erin and I will be in Minnesota all next week Tom and Kathy had us over this past weekend to celebrate Christmas with them as well as Adam, Sarah, and the kids. There was yummy food (Buddy Boy Pizza?!?!?!), bad football, and great presents. Cole and I put together the most awesome Lego airplane on the planet and Skylar did her best to win at Apples to Apples, Jr. Thanks to everyone for the great gifts, and thanks to Tom and Kathy for having us over. We will be thinking of you all when we are in Minnesota next week. Merry Christmas!

You can see the few pictures I took in the Cincinnati Christmas 2009 album on the Greatlandings photo site.

Tonight was the annual Goodtimer Family Christmas party and Erin and I were able to attend with the rest of the family. There was good drinks, yummy food, and great company. Santa even stopped by for a little bit to hand out some presents (with the help of his elf). As usual I took a bunch of pictures (mostly of the kids) and you can find them in the Goodtimer Christmas 2009 album on the Greatlandings photo site. While your there feel free to check out the 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 Goodtimer Family Christmas Party pictures as well.

Thanksgiving 2009

Tom and Kathy were nice enough to have the family over for Thanksgiving this year. We had the most amazing food ever, and I have been enjoying the left overs for several days now.  In case you have not seen her yet, the little baby everyone is holding is Simmie and Julie’s new daughter Jada Payne. As usual I took a few pictures and have put them up to share. You can find them in the Thanksgiving 2009 album on the Greatlandings photo site. Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well.

Labor Day 2009 in “mih-nuh-SOE-tuh”

This year Erin and I went to Minnesota for the Labor Day weekend. My folks and us have been trying for a while to find a time for us to visit, and with Erin having Monday off for the holiday it worked out well for us to go. We also wanted to tell them the news in person. While we were there  we got to visit with my brother Chris, my Grandma, and Erin’s friend Mikki. We went to the Minnesota State Fair where we ate some of the most fantastic food known to man such as Deep Fried Cheese Curds, Scotch Egg, and Pronto Pups! We also got to attend the annual neighborhood party in my Mom’s neighborhood where we ate some great food that was stirred with a boat oar, and a race in old retirement home walkers! It was a whole new experience for both of us, but a great time! There are a few pics from the fair below, but the main album is on the Greatlandings Photo site under Labor Day 2009 – Minnesota so be sure to take a look.

Happy July 4th!

Erin and I celebrated the July 4th holiday at the lake this past weekend. Thanks to some great weather and good company we had a wonderful time. The fireworks were amazing as always and as you can see by the pictures everyone had a fun. I didn’t take all that many pictures, but there are some really fun ones of Cole on the wake board, as well as some of the fireworks. You can see them all in the July 4th, 2009 album on the Greatlandings photo site. Thanks to Tom and Kathy for letting us hang out at their house and Happy Fourth of July to everyone!

*Edit* – I’ve added a short video of Cole on the wake board. Good times!

Memorial Day 2009

Memorial Day was this past Monday and Erin and I were lucky enough to be able to spend the weekend at the lake with family and friends. The weather was perfect, the drinks were delicious, and with the exception of a few hours I can’t seem to remember it was the best time! Cole even got up bright and early twice to go fishing with Tom and John, and both times he came back with a nice small mouth bass. Thanks to Tom and Kathy for lettings us hang out at their house!

Be sure to check out all the pictures in the Memorial Day 2009 album on the Greatlandings photo site.

Mothers Day Camping 2009

In case you missed all the previous messages, reminders, emails, or you don’t own a calendar, this past Sunday was Mothers Day. That then means this past weekend was the annual Mothers Day Camping trip.

We started the weekend off with a little golf on Friday morning at The Mill where the beer was cold, the weather was perfect, and most importantly I beat Andy. Next up was camp were it rained most of the late afternoon and evening, leaving us in a muddy swampy mess. But then came Saturday and Sunday where the nice warm sun dried everything up. Thanks to Adam A’s awesome campsite planning our sites rocked! They were huge and right by the lake so we could go fishing and stuff. If I am not mistaken Cole gets the award for most fish caught, Justin gets one for catching a non-fish (turtle), and Tom and Adam split for most hooks baited.

All and all it was a great weekend and as usual I have already forgotten about the rain on Friday and am looking forward to the next trip. Which if I get a vote should be at least one more time before next Mothers Day.

So Happy Mothers Day to all the moms, and Thank You to everyone else for making Mothers Day Camping one of the best times of the year!

PS – You can find 269 pictures in the Mothers Day Camping 2009 album on the GreatLandings photo site.
