October 2007 Newsletter

October 1st, 2007
Boa viand Kao boletim de notícias de outubro! Hello everyone! Welcome back to another exciting edition of the GreatLandings.com newsletter. Not as much to go over this month so expect a lot of filler like pictures of the dogs and Amy Meoves. In fact why wait....

See, now don't we all feel just a little bit better now. OK, on with the news. September was a good time. We started with some pictures Erin brought back from Kacie Cook's 21st birthday party at the Moose. By all accounts everyone had a good time. And judging by this pic of Cook, he had a really good time!

Next up we had Labor Day down at the lake. Lots of fun going on here. So be sure to check out the pictures with the links on the right if you have not seen them already. Adam A actually caught a fish using a regular old fishing net?! JD took his first swim, and the big hit for the weekend was Al and Betty Rudy's grandson Blake. At four years old he and I had some of the deepest conversations I have ever had. Plus it was nice to see Cole have another little boy around to play with.

Skylar also had a big weekend by jumping off the dock for the first time. While it didn't last long, it only took a little help from her new BFF Betty to get her to do it. Nice to think that at the oh so young age of 7 she has already lost complete trust in just about everyone else.

We also got some new pics of baby Andrew Thomas in September. In fact that reminds me that we are just about due for another update. (hint hint) But if you have not seen them be sure to take a look. Little guy is getting big quick!

We also got some pictures from Tom, Kathy, Carol, and Fred when they went to visit Steve and Jan in Bowling Green. While they were there they attended the Black Swamp Festival where it looks like everyone had a good time.

About mid month Adam A set up a little guys trip to the lake. After the girls came back from their own trip it only seemed fair the guys got a chance. I will let the pictures speak for themselves, but WOW that lake will never be the same!

The final bit of news for September came from our newest edition JD turning 12 weeks. At this point there is no doubt in my mind that this is going to be the equivalent of stabling a horse. At the time he was just about a third the size of Buddy and I can honestly say I can hear him growing every second. If anyone knows where I can get a 300 lb bag of puppy chow, let me know.

Well that was it for September. We did have a new poll up but it only got 9 votes. If anyone has another idea for the poll let me know. October should be fun... Halloween is coming and I have vacation so maybe I can be around for some of the good times.

Don't forget there are a lot of birthdays in October. Trish Jansen, Ann Merritt, Allison Hlodan, Julie Lippert, Jeff Ashpaw, Cory Cook, Erich Lippert, Adam Ashpaw, Emily Swagart, and Connie Lippert.

Now just for good measure....
